Geof Darrow talk and North Pond

Last week I rushed over to DePaul university to see an open talk with Geof Darrow and the councilor Zak Mucha along with the autobiographic web comic artist Keiler Roberts. Zak Mucha talked about his work on the graphic novel Heart Transplant with Andrew Vachss and Frank Caruso.
If you don't know who Geof Darrow is he does this crazy shit: http://www.leahfaust.com/fausthaus_blog/miller_darrow1.jpg
It was a little slow, and it seemed like it was hard to get Geof to open up, maybe because he is a wizard and doesn't need inspiration or reference images.
Here's some scrawly notes I took incase someone's interested.

Found this article written by Mucha about Darrow, too if you are interested in deeper backstory on Geof: http://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago/the-man-who-drew-the-matrix/Content?oid=921463

Now me!
The cosmos has been playing this week, and it's been a wild one. Only 3 more weeks until spring semester is done! I went to North Pond yesterday wander alone in some nature.
Can you count the turtles?

I had a lovely time, and am going to try to volunteer at the Nature Museum's butterfly room.
Here is a weird self-portrait I did late at night:

By the way, Christos Anesti!
